This time we’re swapping a K24 into an EF Chassis. The Budget EG K-swap was built for about $3200, but this one is different. - Remove the exhaust manifold before installing the engine, to make the swap easier on your conscience (it can be problamatic if you leave it on during the install because of the tiny 84-87 civ/crx engine compartment). The dash job took about 6 hours to do alone, and the doors were about 1.5 hrs more. The dash took a LOT of RNR and I honestly have to credit the Helm manual for being such a trusty tool through the whole process.

first off, you would be better off starting with a 88 CRX HF because it is lighter than the 1st gen CRX Si and easier to swap the D16Z6 engine into - if you are set on a 1st gen Si, you have a lot of work ahead of you - a lot of wiring is probably the least of the problems - the 1st gen CRX uses completely different

It's a pretty easy DIY process but does involve some time and being careful as And remember, the key here is power to weight ratio, and the CRX is no heavy weight. Pics of K24 swap and RSX dash in crx. nice motor/dash swap. Should've changed the steering wheel to the rsx one too. lol . Furthermore, this engine has an electronic throttle body and complicates the ECU setup and in fact, I am not aware of anyone who has done a swap with it in a CRX. That pretty much leaves the K20A2 and the K2OA. The K20A is the clear performance winner with 10% more HP and another 10 lb-ft of torque.
